Celines Salon

Celine Hispiche’s career begins as a featured writer at The Royal Court Theatre, and after being a teenage presenter on Capital Radio springboarded her into music with both singing and song writing.

Singing duets with Marc Almond and featuring on his album Bluegate Fields to supporting the Human League with her band Nitewreckage.

Comedy and cabaret has always been at the forefront of her career. She moved to New York and toured all along the East Coast with fellow comedians from The Saturday Night Live Show, headlining at Rodney Dangerfield’s Manhattan club to performing at Caroline’s on Broadway. Unusual shows include performing at the private salon of the legendary Louise Bourgeois.

From performing on the main comedy stage at Glastonbury to supporting Harry Hill at the Hackney Empire she has been involved in lots of interesting and alternative shows at The Victoria & Albert Museum, The Café Royal, The Theatre Museum, The Old Vic and Wilton’s Music Hall to name but a few. With a passion for history Celine devised a cabaret show that had four consecutive years at the Edinburgh Festival the final year being at The Assembly Rooms to sellout shows.

Celine’s Salon was formed in November 2015 at The Society Club, an arts and culture bookshop in the daytime and a private members bohemian cocktail lounge in the evening featuring book launches and art shows.

This perfect setting has allowed Celine’s Literary Salon to flourish and platform both new and established writers within a friendly and creative atmosphere to read their new works and gain positive feedback from an appreciative audience. Each month has a different theme where writers are encouraged to write a new work we cover all forms of writing and close each salon with a guest author.

We are thrilled to partner with Celine to host an evening of Celine’s Salon at our own We Are Cuts Salon.
